今日で東日本大震災から3年が経ちますね。
震災後の混乱の中、被害から二週間後に被災地入りして見た宮城県石巻市の様子は今でも忘れられません。

あれから３年が経った今でも、放射能の恐怖で故郷に帰れないでいる方々がいたり、今でも家族がバラバラになったまま暮らす方々、土地が汚染されたことによって農業を続けられなくなった農家の方々など、原発事故の影響は多くの人に今でも被害を及ぼしている。
それにも関わらず、最近では原発推進派の候補者が東京都知事に当選したり、現在の政権も命よりも経済が優先的な動きを示しているのが悲しい。
これだけ大きな被害をもたらしている災害が起こったというのに、私たち日本人は何を学んだのだろうか。これだけ苦しんでいる人が既にいるにも関わらず、更なる被害者を増やそうというのだろうか。日本だけでなく、世界にまで。
3.11後、自分たちから日本を変えなくちゃと動き始めた人たちはたくさんいる。だけど、もっともっと大きなうねりにならないと、今の政治の動きはなかなか止められない。私たち一人一人が、これからも行動を起こして行かないと。
そんなことを、地球の反対側にあるモロッコにて考える今日一日です。
3 years have passed since the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
I can still recall the devastated scenery that I saw at one of the worst affected areas as I participated in volunteer activities 1 week after the disaster.
Even though 3 years have passed, there are still people suffering from the effects of the earthquake and the nuclear accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (you can read the following article in details, depicting the situations around the contaminated areas).

Despite the fact that there are still a lot to be done for the affected areas, it is disappointing to see the recent movements of the pro-nuclear government of Japan, trying to resume nuclear power plants in Japan and even trying to export plants to other countries. What have we learned from this detrimental disaster? Do we have to sacrifice more human lives in the names of "economic growth"?
A lot of individuals started taking actions especially after the disaster of March 11, but I guess not enough to bring a major change yet in Japan. If we continue making efforts, I hope one day we will be able to make a big change away from nuclear power.
